Make your own Christmas Ornament

The Makerspace will be holding a free CAD and 3D Printing workshop where we will be making our own Christmas Ornaments! This workshop will take place on Tuesday, November 13th from 12 – 2pm. This will be a great intro to CAD and a great way to make yourself or a friend, a personal Christmas ornament.

Make your own zippered bag!

Come to the Makerspace on Thursday, November 15th from 12 – 2pm and make your own zippered bag/pencil case. This workshop will be a foundational workshop for sewing beginners and will develop many skills such as design planning, sewing a stitch, and adding zippers!

This workshop will be capped at 4 people so please sign up fast.

Virtual Reality Workshop

The Makersace will be holding a free VR Workshop on Thursday, November 15th from 5:30 – 8pm. Come to the Makerspace and use our VR Equipment to design a 3d model and have it 3D Printed for free! Also, you can design your own custom screensaver using Google Tilt Brush. Spots are limited so please reserve a spot below as soon as possible.

Intro to CAD and 3D Printing

The Makerspace will be holding a free Intro to CAD and 3D Printing workshop on Friday, November 16th from 12 – 2 pm. This workshop will be a great introduction to the design, preparation and print of 3D Models which is fundamental for doing complex 3D designs and prints. Design your own model, print it, and take it home for free!

Attendance: Open to all.

Make your own Video Game!

The Makerspace will be holding a free intro to Game Development workshop on Tuesday, November 6th from 5:30 – 8 pm where you will be making your own video game that can be imported on your own home computers. The focus of the workshop will be using Unity – a game development environment – to create a game, Rollerball. This will cover all of the basics of Unity and other game development fundamentals that will get you on your way to making your own super cool video games!

Robotic Car Workshop

The Makerspace will be holding a free Robotic Car Workshop on Tuesday, October 30th from 5:30 – 8pm. This workshop will feature an introduction to Arduino’s as well as their IDE and programming language. Come, program, and control your own robot using IR sensors and stepper motors.

Difficulty: Easy – Moderate.

Minimalist Wallet Workshop

The Makerspace will be holding a free make-your-own wallet workshop on Tuesday, October 30th from 12 – 2pm. This will be an introduction to sewing and project planning, skills of which are fundamental to your sewing projects. We will have fabric on hand but feel free to bring your own.

The Makerspace will be holding a free make-your-own laptop sticker workshop on Thursday, November 1st from 12 – 2pm. Come and design your own laptop sticker using our Cricut vinyl cutter and its software. Design, cut, and take yours home for free!

Intro to Robotics Super Session

The Makerspace will be holding a free Intro Robotics Workshop on Thursday, November 1st from 5 – 8 pm. This workshop will cover a wide range of Arduino applications which are fundamental for creating your own super cool robotics projects. Topics to be covered include buttons, LED’s, Servo and Stepper Motors, and IR Sensors.
